Why does the body sweat when drinking Pu'er tea (ripe tea)?
After food enters the human body, the human body will use the three major nutrients in the food, namely protein, fat and carbohydrates, to produce the amino acids, glucose and fatty acids needed by the human body. The conversion of these compounds generates a large amount of energy (heat). Pu'er tea is high in carbohydrates such as starch, pectin, and cellulose. Excessive intake of Pu'er tea will cause fever and sweating similar to eating.
Moreover, the stimulation of too many phenolic substances in Pu'er tea can also cause strong convergence of the muscles and nervous system. This convergence will excite the human body and generate a large amount of heat energy. When this heat energy exceeds the normal body temperature of the human body, it will be released to the skin surface of the human body, causing heat. The excess water will be discharged from the body through the skin to form sweating.
The greater the heat generated when drinking tea, the higher the content of polyphenolic compounds in the tea leaves. Of course, it is incomplete and unscientific to simply call tea that makes the body heat up and sweat after drinking it as good tea. In autumn and winter, when the temperature is cold and humid, drinking Pu'er tea has many benefits for the human body. According to traditional Chinese medicine, winter is dry and cool. At this time, the air humidity is relatively low, and people are prone to dryness and discomfort in the skin, nose, and throat; less sweating and poor internal circulation; ingesting a large amount of high-calorie food is prone to symptoms such as indigestion.
Therefore, it is best to drink Pu’er ripe tea in winter. Ripe Pu'er tea is mild in nature and has the characteristics of nourishing the stomach, warming the stomach, lowering fat and losing weight. The substances contained in cooked tea after fermentation are mild in nature. The tea soup will not irritate the gastrointestinal tract and can form a layer of mucosa on the gastric wall, which plays a protective role in the gastrointestinal tract. If you drink a lot of cooked tea, the nutrients in the tea leaves will generate a lot of energy (heat) after being converted by the human body. At this time, the body will not only sweat, but the tea soup will drive the rhythm of the body and make the body feel very comfortable.
Therefore, people who are cold or sickly can make a cup of cooked Pu'er tea in winter, which can not only warm the body, but also prevent diseases.
